Workers get derailed train car back on tracks in Shepherd

It took a crew of six, an engineer, chains and wooden blocks to get a train car back on the tracks in Shepherd Thursday morning.
A “minor mishap” when an engineer was backing up a Great Lakes Central Railroad car at the Shepherd Elevator on Wright Avenue Wednesday when the car went a bit too far and went off the end of the tracks.
On Thursday morning, the task of putting the back sets of wheels back on the tracks didn’t take workers very long.It was, however, painstaking. Continued
