Wooden railroad depots are part of a lost era

They're gone now - relics lost to time and technology.
Railroad stations that stood at intervals on the Southern Pacific railroad throughout the North County were once the centers of their communities.
Painted in SPs dark yellow with brown trim, they stood at places like Concepcion, where SP tracks swing from east-west to north below lonely, tree-capped Point Conception, at the Sudden Ranch (now part of Vandenberg AFB), at Surf, in downtown Lompoc, Casmalia and Guadalupe. Continued
