VIDEO: Steam festival comes chugging-a-lugging into Brigham City

BRIGHAM CITY - In 1869, almost 150 years ago, a golden spike was hammered into a railroad line, finally connecting the great Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads and creating the first Transcontinental Railroad in the United States.
This Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, The residents of Brigham City will be celebrating just these kinds of amazing historical events, and the continued fun of Utah rails with the annual Winter Steam Festival. Locomotive No. 119, an exact replica of locomotive that was present at the original Golden Spike ceremony, was there spouting steam and blowing its whistle Wednesday at the start of festivities.
