Spending for Milwaukee train maintenance facility delayed

(AP) The Wisconsin Legislature's budget committee on Wednesday put the brakes on spending to design a permanent train maintenance facility in Milwaukee, opening the possibility that the cars will be serviced in Chicago instead.
The Republican-backed move not to spend $5 million on planning and design of the maintenance facility comes after Gov. Scott Walker rejected $810 million in federal money that would have paid both for the facility and a new train line connected Madison and Milwaukee. Continued
