Railroad loop controversy

Jamestown, ND - Opponents of a proposed railroad loop project say potential businesses don’t need and won’t want to pay for a project that would cost more than $3.75 million in local tax dollars.
What’s more, they say, the community should prioritize that money, and put it toward Jamestown’s $13 million water infrastructure needs instead.
At issue is a $7.5 million railroad loop project the James-town/Stutsman Development Corp. Board agreed to recommend investing in last month. Continued
