Old railroad tracks poke through modern Pottsville streets

The City of Pottsville has always prided itself on its rich history but city officials get frustrated when relics from the past start to pop through city streets.
"The tracks still run under the streets in town, old trolley tracks and train tracks. They're embedded, and in the wintertime, they can cause a problem," Pottsville Superintendent of Streets Daniel E. Kelly said Tuesday.
The freeze and thaw of winter can force these ancient steel rails to the surface. Continued
