Freight train derails in Montchanin, Delaware

Four cars of a freight train jumped the tracks Friday afternoon, snarling traffic at Del. 100 and Rockland Road in Montchanin but causing no injuries.
Montchanin Road (Del. 100) was closed for about two hours after the accident, which happened at about 2:30 p.m. just behind the old Montchanin train station. Rockland and Kirk roads remained blocked near the tracks.
... At least one empty car had some damage, according to Al Sauer, vice president of East Penn Railroad, of Kennett Square, Pa., which operates several short lines in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Continued
