Economic Council Money Will Help Upgrade Local Railroad

GANG MILLS, NY (WENY-TV)---Close to $2 million of the nearly $50 million dollar Southern Tier economic development award money will go to improving a railroad that connects the Twin Tiers.
The Wellsboro & Corning Railroad Company has 11 miles of track in the Steuben County to move freight between the Twin Tiers. Rail officials say the money will go to upgrading the current rail and it's just what they need to stay on track. Continued
