Cops: Niles man parked stolen cars on railroad tracks for thrills

Authorities have connected a 19-year-old Niles man to two incidents involving stolen vehicles abandoned on a set of railroad tracks in Des Plaines to be struck by trains.
Kenneth Cooper, of the 8900 block of Washington Street, has been charged with two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle. Cooper was already in police custody facing charges in a separate incident when he was questioned by Des Plaines investigators about the railroad incidents. Continued
