West Texas & Lubbock Railway, Texas-New Mexico Railroad to upgrade track, facility

West Texas & Lubbock Railway and its sister railway Texas-New Mexico Railroad are investing more than $12 million in track upgrades and new facilities. Ed Ellis, president of the Iowa Pacific Railroad, which owns West Texas & Lubbock Railway, explained these changes.
Facilities
A new locomotive repair shop will be located in Wolfforth, in which all West Texas & Lubbock locomotives will be repaired.
The historic 1918 Whiteface Depot will be relocated to Wolfforth and will serve as offices and the Polar Express station beginning in 2012. Continued
