Transportation Secretary LaHood lauds Galesburg, railroad industry

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood had some compliments for Galesburg and the rail industry at Friday night’s annual Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce dinner and meeting.
LaHood also said more than $3 million for the grade separation project that had been held up is now on its way to the project.
LaHood reminded those in attendance in the Lincoln Room of Knox College’s Seymour Union that U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Springfield, was able to get about $3.2 million for the $88 million grade separation projects in the city. Continued
