CATLETTSBURG, KY (AP) - An eastern Kentucky city has decided to seek a historic designation for a railroad depot that has become a popular attraction.
The City Council in Catlettsburg approved a resolution last week to try to get the depot placed on the National Register of Historic Places, according to The Independent (http://bit.ly/uc9uza). Catlettsburg Main Street director Frank Branham took the idea to city officials since the city owns the building.
Branham told council members getting the designation would "ensure that it is preserved like we want it to be preserved." Continued
