Stafford group finishes restoring 1922 railroad car

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP — The 73-foot Tuckerton Railroad car has finally been restored.
For the past five years, the Stafford Township Historical Society has been on a mission to refurbish the 1922 railroad car, which was donated to the group and later found a home at the township’s Heritage Park.
When the group acquired the 80-ton car, members quickly learned that it was laced with asbestos. Last year, juveniles broke into it and set a fire that destroyed the newly re-upholstered seats and carpet. Continued
