William Ogden joins National Railroad Hall of Fame

A full house filled Knox College’s Alumni Hall at Old Main Saturday as William Butler Ogden, credited with being the visionary who brought the railroad to Chicago, was inducted into the 2011 class of the National Railroad Hall of Fame.
Jack Harpster of Reno, Nev., Ogden’s first cousin, four times removed, as well as the author of the first Ogden biography, accepted the medallion honoring his ancestor. Continued
