Fire engulfs Georgetown Train Station

GEORGETOWN, DEL. - Georgetown’s Train Station suffered severe damage Saturday, when a fire gutted most of the building’s second floor.
It took the efforts of six fire companies – Georgetown, Millsboro, Milton, Ellendale, Laurel and Blades – to bring the fire under control. ... Originally constructed in 1885, the Layton Avenue station was left by the wayside for several years before receiving a major renovation in 2003. Continued
