Crews Face Major Cleanup After Train Derails

PORTLAND, Ore. - Members of the U.S. Coast Guard and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality are working to clean up fuel that leaked into the Columbia River from damaged tanker cars involved a train derailment and crash.
Investigators said a Portland and Western freight train pulling 59 cars, mostly loaded with lumber, derailed as it was heading westbound around noon Wednesday.
The train then slammed into a line of 20 other train cars that were parked on a separate track along Highway 30 near Cornelius Pass Road. Continued
