City seeks legal action over railyard

North Charleston today will announce details of its legal challenge against the state's plan to bring rail near the new port terminal being built at the southern end of the former Navy yard.
While officials were tight-lipped about the thrust of their complaint, Mayor Keith Summey has threatened to pursue a variety of legal actions if the state pushes something he doesn't like, including rail lines coming through the northern part of the city.
Notification of the press announcement came in a news release titled "rail issue forces North Charleston to take further legal action." Continued
